1. About NearMeet

NearMeet is a free nearby social discovery platform that helps you find and connect with real verified people for co-living, room sharing, networking, meetups, and local connections. NearMeet is operated by Pramod Kumar (Sole Proprietor), India.

NearMeet is NOT a dating app, escort service, or paid companionship platform. It is a social discovery tool for making genuine real-world connections. NearMeet is completely free to use — there are no charges, purchases, or paid features of any kind.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use NearMeet
• You must be a resident of India
• You must have a valid Indian mobile number
• You must not have been previously banned from NearMeet
• You must be capable of entering into a legally binding contract

3. Account Registration

To use NearMeet you must register with a valid Indian mobile number verified by OTP. One phone number = one account only. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Do not share your account with anyone.

4. Community Rules — Zero Tolerance

4.1 Violation Consequences

Sexual content or escort solicitation	Instant permanent ban — no warning

6. Privacy & Location

• NearMeet requires location access to show nearby users
• Only approximate distance is shown to other users — never exact coordinates
• You can hide your profile at any time from Settings
• Location data is deleted when your session ends
• Full details in our Privacy Policy

7. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post on NearMeet (moments, bio, interests). By posting content, you grant NearMeet a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the app. You must not post content that violates anyone else's intellectual property rights.

The NearMeet name, logo, design, and all app content are owned by NearMeet. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without written permission.

8. Safety & Reporting

• Use the Report button on any profile or chat to report violations
• Safety team reviews reports within 2 hours
• Your identity as a reporter is kept anonymous
• False reports submitted maliciously may result in your account suspension
• For emergencies involving physical danger, contact police immediately — NearMeet is not an emergency service

9. Disclaimers & Limitations

• NearMeet does not conduct criminal background checks on users
• NearMeet is not responsible for user behaviour in real-world meetings
• Always meet people in public places — use common sense and stay safe
• NearMeet provides the platform "as is" without warranty of any kind
• NearMeet's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian law

10. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days except safety ban records which are retained to prevent ban evasion.

NearMeet may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. These Terms comply with the Information Technology Act 2000, IT Rules 2021, Consumer Protection Act 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via in-app notification at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of NearMeet after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
